A couple of Christmases ago I was really looking forward to going home to my parents' house for a few days where it would be warrrrm. Except their boiler broke a few days before Christmas. It was fixed on Christmas Eve... but then broke again that evening. Oh, and this was that really cold winter where it snowed in November and didn't clear until January. Brrrr. On the other hand, it made me kind of nostalgic for first year of uni where we would routinely run out of hot water because the tank for our flat was really small.

I'm glad the fix turned out to be easy, though!
