While I've barely posted anything on here last year (at this point there are still more posts from 2015 on the blog's front page than posts from 2016), I do want to keep up the tradition of my annual "year in review" post. Time for those forty questions!

I know what you mean about feeling like you're not in control. I feel like most things in my life are out of my control right now.

I didn't even touch on politics in my year-end post, because it was just too depressing and frightening. I *know* that it's not over, that we need to keep fighting and keep hoping, but I'm just tired of it all. Lots of people's behavior appalled me this year.

Also, I totally understand about the neighbors. We went from having absolutely incredible neighbors who were more like family to an annoying upstairs neighbor who is incredibly loud, especially in the middle of the night, and vacuums multiple times a day. No one needs to vacuum that much, lady!

The shoe horn story made me grin. I love little moments when something finally makes sense. (And I wish we called them shoe spoons...)

I hope 2017 is kind to you, and you find the direction and satisfaction you're looking for. *hugs*

Considering the background awfulness of life, I am relieved to hear that your year hasn't been all bad. And I love I am not a robot.
