I've noticed the pervasive "girls/women will watch boys/men but not vice versa" tropes throughout most forms of entertainment, and the associated trope of women being treated as trophies rather than people. It's refreshing, delightful, and annoyingly rare to find entertainment that viciously smashes the stereotypes.
