[ Esther has spent several hours cleaning the apartment. Washing and scrubbing and re-washing...whatever it took to clean up the blood. Without access to proper cleaning supplies it made the task harder, but there wasn't anything she could do about that. I remember hearing that. Does anyone know if the chips malfunctioned, or if it was something caused on purpose?

Yes, but not everyone with a chip still in them was affected. So was it a malfunction, or something done on purpose?

That we're not sure of, but while not everyone with a chip went insane, no one who had gotten it removed lost their mind.

I want to believe it's a malfunction...

Everyone here is told that the chips are are meant to only suppress powers, but who knows what else they can actually do? Or what they are even made of.

I'd like to believe it was a malfunction as well, but it's hard not to be suspicious.

Yes, but why would the chips cause that? I thought they were only meant to suppress any abilities a person may have, not cause them to go [...] insane.
