I'm not mourning as much for Remus/Sirius as for Tonks, because I've always thought Remus was bi (and had a bit of a crush on Lily), and I think Sirius would have wanted him to move on after his death. Tonks, though, I've pegged as a dyke since the first time we saw her in OotP. I kept thinking she was under the Imperius Curse or was being impersonated with Polyjuice or something. Lovesick!Tonks is just way too much like Lovesick!Padme Amidala, and we all know what sort of crap that caused.

I have always sort of liked Fleur/Bill, at least.

Yeah, I'm seriously pondering a lavenderwedding!fic in which Remus and Tonks deal with prejudice in the WW by getting married and then holding massive gay orgies disguised as sewing circles (a la 1920s Hollywood.)

Notice that as soon as Tonks "straightened up," her hair stopped being short and spiky. Maybe she went to an ex-gay program between books 5 and 6.

Or their crochet hooks, which I've always thought are rather phallic anyway. (Maybe this is where all the Weasley sweaters come from?)

That would explain both her funk *and* her horrid hairstyle. Perhaps they let her out once she started holding hands with boys.

Um, with the way JKR fucked up the characters this book? I think I would like that very much. Plus, then there would be no more fanfic about Hermione's babies. And there would be much rejoicing.
