Sounds fun

I think my subwoofer is on the blink. It seems to be making loud popping noises every so often. I guess if it blows, it blows. Wonder how much new speakers would be. Decent ones.

Doesn't matter about the quality if you listen to VNV nation :D

Although on a more serious note:

Do not buy computer speakers.

Do not buy computer speakers or any sound equipment from a computer store.

Instead:

1. Take your mp3 player, or burn a playlist of music onto a cd.

2. Set a budget

3. Go to richer sounds, buy some small speakers and a bargain amp.

4. Success.

The cd/mp3 is to take to the shop so you can listen to things (with your type of music) before you buy.

Cheers for the advice. When this blows up I'll do the deed.

Go and scope out the website at least so you'll know what price range you'll be going for.

i agree with figg but will add, tat your current problem could prob be solved with a soldering iron and some screwdrivers...

Would maybe save me some money for the time being. Would involve a soldering iron though. What I'd like to do is get a job when the doc decides I can and get some decent ones.

I have a soldering iron, although I haven't used it for a while. It certainly wouldn't hurt to attack it with a screwdriver and multimeter.
