More examples of my really bad writing skills!
But You’re Gone
I reach out for you
But you’re gone.
The cold freezes me inside
And I shiver
As I remember your embrace.
The gentle breeze washes over me
And I sigh
As I recall your caress.
The night wind sings its melody
And I smile
As I reminisce the music of your whisper.
I reach out for you
But you’re gone.
And I’m alone.
ON A STARLESS NIGHT
And it was on a starless night
That I came to love you.
The absence of the ethereal wonders
Made me long for the twinkle
In your eyes.
The stillness of the sky
Made me hunger for the life
In your motion.
The gentle caress of the breeze
Made me crave the strength
In your spirit.
The soothing, whispered song of the wind
Made me want to listen to the voice
In your heart and soul.
The serenity of the night
Made me yearn for the silence
In you.
And in the day
The blue of the sky
Cannot compare
To your azure eyes.
Neither the majesty of the dawn
Nor the magic of the setting sun
Can rival
The beauty
Of you.
And when the sun surrenders
To the splendor of the night...
I smile up at the eternal heavens
And remember
It was on a starless night
That I came to love you.
(OOC: I checked back, and I wrote these things in... January 2003, when no one was around to criticize my work and call me a pathetic loser of a writer, so... Yeah.)
