This came in from the mailing list that serves as a sort of ranting/complaining/whatever outlet for my major. The things that have shown up on this list over the years have oftentimes been odd and sometimes quite unerving, but this has to be one of the wierdest things to come up ( Read more... )

being a school of nerds there were immediately about 30 replies citing the "mr. Pinchy" episode and quoteing all the lines in it. I'm proud to say mine was one of the first 5 to get there...

During my freshman year of college, some students bought a live lobster at the supermarket. It did not live long, but they made a sled out of cardboard and string and dragged the lobster through the halls singing "Rock Lobster." They later took it to the Esplanade on the Charles River and left the lobster in the ear of the huge statue of Arthur Fiedler's head. They named it Andrew Lloyd Lobster!

Thats pretty much the gist of whats going on right now. The kids setting the lobster up for some video project.
