[Inspired by tcpip's recent post, The War Against WomenAll the attention, worldwide, devoted to the US elections is quite baffling to me. After all, they decide nothing but what brand of propaganda we'll be hearing next (smooth or stupid?). The real world actions of the empire remain consistent through farcical regime changes

After all, they decide nothing but what brand of propaganda we'll be hearing next (smooth or stupid?). The real world actions of the empire remain consistent through farcical regime changes.

A modicum of research would indicate that both these statements are extremely incorrect. The Obama presidency has done plenty. We may argue against some specific policies and, even more to the point, we may argue that it has not done enough. But to say the choice between Obama and Romney comes down to a brand of propaganda is intellectually and politically lazy. A Romney government will have much worse effects for women, ethnic minorities, and working people
