Werewolves With Top Hats

I've been watching a community called geekcrafts that was featured recently. There have been some really clever projects posted. I'm tempted to post some of my cakes there (tho it would probably be better to start with my own journal...)
Anyway, yunikoneko has posted pics of costumes she did for an original music video, "Werewolves With Top Hats" that was written and ( Read more... )

Yes! Post pics of your cakes-both here & over there too! *waits patiently* *taps foot* *waits some more*

Ohmygosh! Werewolves With Top Hats is magnificent. I love the handcrafted lady dancers' wolf masks. The moonwalking werewolf, & the guy in the bed with that plushie wolf at the end made me so happy! Catchy song too! I couldn’t help looking at the rest of the page & the ones I love the best are the Sharktopus Plushie, the R2D2 birthday cake, the knitted Eleventh Doctor and Amy Pond!

I know, I know... When you friended me last fall, you said it was so you could see the cake pics I post. I felt guilty at the time (and still do) because I haven't ever done that. Most of my flist probably doesn't even know I do cakes (mundane or otherwise :D). It's time to do more posting and less lurking, I suppose.
It might be worth your while to check out the fest at hd_relief when it posts during July. The rules contradicted themselves on whether the fest is anonymous, so that's all I'm saying! ;)

I liked the R2D2 and Dr Who dolls as well. Also the plushie DeLorean. sheherazahde made some stunning coral reef creatures, too.
That vid was amazing. I love the song and keep playing it over again. yunikoneko said their budget for the entire thing was $350. She improvised the masks out of card stock and hot glue. There are some seriously clever people out there!

Right on! I'm watching that community now & am looking forward to your entry in the fest. Thanks for letting me know!

I agree about the sheer amount of talent showcased on LJ (& IJ & DW, etc.). Very enjoyable!
