Things have been a little crazy the last few weeks and I have had trouble finding time to read the journals on my f-list, much less write anything. The way Andong works is that half the teachers teach summer camps in July and the other half teach in August. The camps are usually all kinds from young kids to Korean English teachers to summer classes

My mom still doesn't understand most grammar...for instance, she'll say "I am so boring" instead of "I am so bored". Hehe.

THANK YOU.
Fucking kids. On Thursday my effing 1st graders weren't doing their work, which was simple. My devil child who I complain about all the time and another kid were the worst in not doing it. I told them no break if they didn't do their work. Well, 1/2 way into the break time (the other kids were outside playing, while these two were still inside) they just bolted for the door and ran out! Then they went to the Korean teacher and complained about me. Luckily, the Korean teachers knows they are trouble and didn't bother me too much (plus I think he saw the murder in my face...). Gah.
Anyway, one more week then you get a week off, then back to not-teaching children!

I did this for a year and I have no idea how I made it through. The kids need to realize that if they would just shut up and fucking be quiet I'd let them do whatever the hell they wanted. I just cannot stand all the fucking noise. 시끄럽다!!

Hmmm...I'm going to try that "no one can go till you finish" next time. I admit, I'm always nervous to try something like that after I did that once at my old school and a parent complained that a punished their kid when it didn't do anything...and given how jumpy this school is (more so than the last one), I don't want to rock the boat toooooo much.

I use the "soccer ref" philosophy: I am always right, even when I am wrong, I am right. My classroom, my rules. I only threaten things I am willing to do and if I say I am going to do something ("the next time you...") I always do it. It sounds harsher than it is but as in dog training consistency is important
