Wow, that is a fantastic article - thanks for bringing it to my attention.

It reminds me of you, in a way. Remember when you wanted to name children verbs?

The introductory paragraph omitted a few of my personal favorites: "statue of limitations" and "[color] in color."

Cops write that all the time. "I observed a blue in color sedan."

No moron.

"I saw a blue car."

The funny thing is, most cops hated school and hated English. So, feeling inferior, they try harder and fail dramatically.

I appreciate the compliment but honestly he was beyond anything I can or will ever be able to do. His writing is a perfection of wit, irreverence, voice and intelligance that only great writers achieve.

Wallace was one of a kind, both erudite and street smart. He was a brilliant writer - especially essayist, and many people are shocked at his suicide.

I would read him and just be amazed because he was always on a whole other level.

I was just watching him on Charlie Rose and the whole time I was thinking, "All that is now lost." I was stunned. The lives we actually lead are never the ones we are perceived to be leading. If he knew how others saw him...
