[ahh. This was probably one of the poorer versions of an afterlife she could recall at the given moment; a beaten down city, the undead wandering about around her, and of course, of fucking course, the sun, beating down over her head, threatening to burn her alive if she even so much as moved into it. what a joke. Joke, joke, joke, joke, pathetic ( Read more... )

[the giggling slowly dies down at the sound of a voice - oddly familiar, she thinks past the laughing fit, though the thought ventures no further than that - and she raises her hands away from her face, staring up at them with an oddly serene kind of smile, not bothering to look over at whoever it was that had finally shown up. sharing this particular plot in hell or not, she was in no mood for such horrendous games.]

Oh, I'm perfectly alright. Peachy, even. Absolutely wonderful-- [and she dissolves into another, briefer giggling fit. really, her voice isn't any louder than it might be if he were standing right beside her, but it carries over the background noise and gaps in distance well.]

Be a dear and come here? I'm very allergic to sunlight. Can't step into it to save my soul~

[and while Lyserg was more and more sure that the voice he was listening to was one that he had heard before, Twilight was more and more certain that she'd heard his a million times before. not in anyone specific, of course; living as long as she had and with that kind of strange memory, it all began to warp together, the octaves and tones and pitches to a voice, there were hardly any differences.

it's probably a good thing she never told Lyserg that she was marginally in favor of Hao, huh.]

An umbrella... [where had she..?] I don't know. It might just burst into flames. I haven't tried an umbrella in a few centuries. Do they have umbrellas in hell? It seems a bit useless, with the fire and brimstone. Even if this place is a bit lacking in that...

[hands still hovering above her face, sh tilts her head, gaze falling on the gun. and she lets out another little laugh.] A gun? Really? That isn't going to do you any good against me, you know. Not one bit~

[she doesn't pay the sudden accompaniment any mind at first, doesn't even seem to register it at first, but her own does finally die down at the sound of those rustling leaves. she doesn't move her hands from her face at all, instead simply moving the fingers covering her one eye to peer up into the branches.]

Heh... Damned or devil?

[she continues to stare up as the boy does his odd little acrobatics, and once she's got her confirmation her face splits into a wide grin that peeks out from beneath her hands. another second, and she's burst into loud giggles again, one arm shifting around her ribs and the other hand moving to press its palm against her forehead.]

Hahaha! I knew it! What an ugly afterlife... damned, damned, I knew that all along, hehe, but I.... [she was hoping for nothing, for better, something--] This kind of thing suits me...
