this is going to be the most hideous thing...... 4 | ????????personajesusNovember 6 2011, 10:06:03 UTC
[How it had really started out was an accident. Charles being a little too rough, doing a little too much damage. Minato had spaced out, and in an attempt to get his attention... Charles accidentally broke his nose. Good job, Charles.
So because he was kind of bleeding all over the place, Minato had needed to go to the hospital. It wasn't much of an ordeal really, they patched him up and fixed his nose (concluded that it was NOT actually broken, just fractured), and then... Minato spaced out again. Long enough so that the doctor who was looking after him began to run tests.
As it so happens... every time that Minato had been zoning out over the past few months, he'd actually been having seizures. That's what the doctors had said. And they haven't let Minato leave the hospital since.]

[It had been an accident at first. Charles was never one for holding himself back and Minato had taken much, much worse before. Who would have thought a punch thrown in irritation would be enough to break a nose, and that a broken nose would lead to something so much worse?
It was only natural that he had avoided visiting at first, especially the week directly after Minato had been confined to a hospital room. He hated hospitals, hated seeing Minato in one, hated the entire thing. But by today's visit, Minato's entire bedside table is likely covered in roses, both fresh and dying. Charles enters through the familiar doors with a new one in hand, pausing only long enough to knock against the doorframe, checking to see how conscious he is today.]

[He had been in this sort of situation before, being no stranger to stained fields or his own blood. The ground is wet against his cheek and his limbs, normally light and ready to pierce and destroy, feel like they've been cemented in place. With a detached interest, he watches the sand go from red to rust as the shine of liquid is absorbed.
Funny, he thinks. For all of the tooth and nail fighting he had done to cling to his too-long life, he feels very okay right here, right now.]
these things are just more and more hideous....personajesusNovember 6 2011, 11:09:50 UTC
[It's a shame he can't just be left like that. For all the contentment Charles might feel with his own death, there are at least a few people that would very much not be okay with it. Minato happens to be one of those people.
Of course, he'd end up on the same stained field. Of course he'd find Charles. Though he has a few bruises from actually getting there, he's perfectly fine, whereas Charles... Charles was bleeding out. Minato's entrance on the scene is far from quiet - sand crunching under his feet, probably making even more noise when he falls to his knees besides Charles because it's just faster than bothering to stop.]
What-- ["did you do?!" It's what he wants to finish with, because Charles is always doing something, getting himself hurt somehow... but it doesn't seem like there's much point. So instead he goes to check the wounds, see how bad it is... see if there's anything that can be done.]

[Lying around was simply what he did best. He wondered, briefly, what he should think - he didn't want Hao to feel badly, but he was sure Hao was also very disappointed in this turn of events. As for himself, he wasn't disappointed. It was just a bit painful.]
[Disappointment is definitely one of the things Hao feels, but his expression doesn't display much of that. It's a look that's almost too passive for the situation, as out of place as the relaxed posture he sits next to Yoh with.]
There is hardly a way to die that isn't painful, Yoh. [He would know.]
*u* you are welcome. 7/whatevdiscrowningNovember 7 2011, 08:23:26 UTC
[Being a god class shaman didn't necessarily mean he was infallible. Quite the opposite, actually. Through the years he had experienced the best and worst conditions of the human body, though he was generally always more healthy and fit than any human he ran across. He treated nature with respect and in return nature treated him just as well.
That's why this turn of events was so surprising. He had been sick before, of course, and in his reincarnation as a Patch he had gone through a bout of pneumonia so horrible that he thought it might have killed him. This time, he's almost certain it will. He rests quietly against a tree near his camp, something he had been doing with increasing frequency, eyes trained on the sky overhead.]
twenty-five years sounds good to meearthlychanceNovember 7 2011, 08:28:44 UTC
Are you looking for something? [He perches, impeccably, on an overhanging tree branch, stretched out lazily and staring at the sky through the leaves. But even if he keeps his gaze upward, his senses are aware of Hao, and Hao's weakness.
But he's only really thinking that it was a nice day today.]
