My home is in Athens

I know better now than I knew when I was there that my home is no longer here. Home is where you feel comfortable, where you feel a part of, and you feel like something is gone when you aren't there. Home is where you long to be. And all roads (literally) seem to be towards Athens. I miss my home now, Athens. God I know I've barely been here a week

The fact that they would try to attack you like that proves only that they are discontent with their own lives. They are what you strive not to become, and their failure is a sign of your success becuase it is not your own.

There are people here that still try to make better their own lives, but I've been trying to figure out whether its Albany that's cursed or just the people who squander their lives here that are.

I know its hard, but avoiding those that bring you pain is the best solution, however you can't run away from everything in this small town. As painfull as it might be, you may have to confront some of the things that turn you away from Albany.
