“It’s supposed to be our first trip overseas together,” he whispered to his phone. He’s on the way to Incheon airport for his departure to LAX. He sat on the corner back seat of his group van.
“Don’t worry. We’ll meet soon,”
“I really thought we will be on a same plane. Why didn’t you just take the same flight with me and Victoria noona?” he asked hopelessly although he already what’s the answer.
“I am sorry. They suddenly hold a photoshoot for me here,” she apologized sincerely.
“Yeah, it’s not your fault anyway,”
He looked out through the window. They’re getting closer to the Incheon Airport. He listened carefully to the girl on the other line but she didn’t say anything as if she waited him to say something. There was some hard silence between them before Kai sighed to his phone.
“More than 12 hours on a plane without you will be hard,”
“Jongin-ah…”
Right at that moment his van has stopped.
“Come on, kids! We arrived!” his manager hyung shouted from the front seat. His group member started to prepare themselves. Some of them were checking out their appearance on the mirror or their phone screen. Kai stayed still on his position leaned on his seat while holding his phone. He glanced at tons of press and fan camera around the airport gate outside the van. He didn’t give a damn about all of those things. He’s just too disappointed at the fact that he couldn’t enjoy the flight with his girl.
“You’re on the airport already?” the girl on the line asked him. “Don’t forget to smile and be cool. They will judge your airport fashion,”
“I don’t care,” he snapped.
The girl mumbled some complains and he can imagine her pouting. He smiled.
“I miss you, Soojung,”
“Me too,” the girl replied. “Meet me at Los Angeles. Have a safe trip, Jongin,”
“Kai, hurry up!” the manager shouted at him and he realized he was the last person in the van.
“Soo-“ he wanted to say something before he hang up the phone but apparently the girl already did it.
“Hurry or I’ll snatch your phone,” manager hyung warned.
Kai got out from the van with the most sullen face among the others.
