Dear John,

Once Upon A December - A Friday Night , A Holly Jolly Christmas night, When I First Saw You, I Said 'Oh my, that's a dream, that's my dream '. I Knew I loved you before I met you ... I think I dreamed you into life. I Knew I Loved You before I knew you - the hands of time would lead me to you. When I Saw You - I could not breathe, I ( Read more... )

You either know a lot of music over a lot of periods, or your powers of Google Fu are outstanding. So many of these are from the '50s and '60s.

Sleeping Single In A Double Bed.
That one has all the earmarks of being a Country Western song.

I am a huge country music fan ... an acquired taste over the last couple of years. They have such beautiful stories to tell. And then of course of the current lot too I have a ear for songs which tell stories instead of being all sound and more of it. So most of these are from my collection and then some of it were pitched in by google.

Sleeping Single In a Double Bed ... I discovered that very recently and yes it is a beautiful country cowboy song :)

Thank you for dropping by to read ... I hope you enjoyed the musical ride.

I love this! It's so neat how you used the found text to create your own larger meaning. You might like a recent book by Rick Moody - Hotels of North America - in which we learn all about the main character from his online hotel reviews. Rick's also done a book that was an index and one that was a list of other books, with footnotes.

Love this piece!

This had been playing in my head for quite some time too. I am so glad to see you drop by and of course for the encouraging words. Most of the songs are just master pieces. And in the process I did discover some great female versions to popular songs by male artistes. I wanted it to be more restricted just by using female artistes.

Thank you once again for dropping by.

Heyyy ... so glad to see you drop by .. Always. Thank you ... I have actually used very little of the lyrics .. it is mostly the names of the song itself ... which was difficult and easy in its own way. But I enjoyed the process which ended up me finding new songs to download on itunes :)
