DramaCon 2 Debut Sales

Oct 18, 2006 16:32

From TP's Peter Ahlstrom over at pseudome.net:
Volume 2 of Dramacon debuted this week at #4 on Bookscan, behind only Naruto, Bleach, and Loveless. It has sold more copies in this single week than any previous week of any global manga, including Princess Ai (and Warcraft, though just barely).
Cool beans, huh? Congrats, Svet!

The WRITING in Warcraft #1, OMG 0_o. I didn't think fantasy authors were still allowed to use the word "lad" in a non-parody situation.

Book 2 is worse, mostly because the author failed at Geography hardcore, and some of the remotely interesting characters were turned into simpering, helpless idiots. Ugh.

...and now I wish I bought three copies instead of just two. Maybe that would have put it above Loveless. ;)

Patrick, you are a one-man army for skewing Bookscan's stats! (Not that there's anything wrong with that...)

Global manga's catching up! :D

I keep meaning to mention, Madeleine, that I've been following Hollow Fields over at gomanga. Great stuff!
