New York and the influence closer to home

First off, I'm very happy for the decision that the fine folks of New York have come to in the extension of basic rights to a group of people that had been discriminated against for a very long time. One of my ex-bf's says that everyone is bisexual from the waist up, meaning that at least you can think about same-sex relationships (and other such permutations) even if you don't act on it. For some people the thought itself is enough to send them into a flurry of denial because what they are actually defining is themselves - then some of them force that definition on others. I don't get it myself because you like who you like and it has nothing to do with thoughts, religion, etc. etc.

I'm not holding my breath either but I'll be next to you holding onto that glimmer.

Yes. Exactly. Why this is so difficult for people to grasp is completely beyond my comprehension.
