The Year of His Departure

It was a year ago today that he walked out the door. He wasn't going to even say good-bye, but told me he would be home in a month. Of course, we all know now that it wasn't the truth. I'm a firm believer in taking as much time & doing whatever it takes to deal with personal conflict. So, you do whatever you need to do, and everyone else can wait. :)

It's been a tough year.

d - you do what you have to do. we have been mourning his absence in our life, i still get choked up thinking about who i thought he was, and who he really isn't. i am so confused by all of this, he had been a very significant part of my life for over 20 years, and now he is just this mysterious person i feel like i never knew. you heal, and we will heal - and even though he deserves a kick in the head, i hope he heals, too.
