My gallbladder was removed on Friday and I'm doing pretty damn well for being sans gallbladder. I'm off work for a week and I'm already going stir crazy.

Well, I was wrong. My dad wasn't better. My mom called me this morning in tears to tell me that my dad had died. It doesn't really seem very real right now. This is going to sound cliche, but he was only 47. He was getting better. I talked to him on Friday and he said that he felt a lot better. In excellent news, my dad has been home for 2 weeks and seems to be doing well. Thanks for everyone's good wishes; they were appreciated. He says that he still seems weak, but his legs no longer look like sausages. To put this into perspective, the man has peed out some 40-something pounds of fluid, which is nearly 5 gallons of milk.
