It's one of those weird LA days. We don't get tornados or hurricanes, we get fire, and right now there are two monster fires burning nearby. One is only a few miles from the house. The Santa Anas are blowing like crazy. And it stinks

Donating platelets. Sticky blood cells. I go every two weeks. It makes me feel like a secret superhero.

I'd do it, but gay guys still aren't allowed. Oh, and, I hate needles and pass out.

I hate needles too (who likes them?). This will sound schmaltzy, but I think about the hell whoever is getting the platelets is going through and donating becomes the easiest thing I've ever done.
