I traded in my jeep the other day. I love the car, but it just didn't go on the freeways. My plan was to save up the money for a down payment on a MINI. Anyway, I went to the gas station and the mechanic there had the lead on a car. He offered me $8k for the jeep and offered to sell me this for another $8k. I think even I would grab it, despite being a "please respect my penis" car. 16k? Check the selling value and reliability in consumer reports, and then yoink!

Actually - if you can barely afford it I would be careful. Make sure you can also handle the insurance, repairs, and gas on it. Also, 16k for the car sounds low. Oops...I ran figs and that's a little high.
