Saturday was our first competition of the season, and my first with the band.  We'd been rehearsing a lot leading up to it, and it payed off.  We won.  We brought 15 pipes, 5 snares, 4 tenors and a bass drum out, which is a HUGE band for that sort of thing.  It was also John G.'s first time competing as a drummer, after playing for like a zillion ( Read more... )

I had a dream last night where I knew how to ice skate. I already know how to, but I'm horrible at it. Some of it is my weight, and some is my lack of practice, and some is my lack of experience.
