how do I add HTML to my sidebar? Like images that people make for me. LJ has changed so much. I used to be able to post images and then get the HTML code and then add it to the sidebar...Thanks in advance! <3
Go to Customise Journal Style, select customise your journal, then click on sidebar, and scroll down until you find "custom block" and type in your HTML. If you're not sure how to type the actual code, an easy cheat is to go to post a new entry, and write it up as though you're going to post it but instead swap to HTML mode and copy the code then go to customise your journal and paste it in the custom block. You might need to change your settings back to old style before you can select the HTML code. To do this click on your journal name and one of the suggestions is "OLD EDITOR" click on that and it will take you to your account systems and you just remove the tick by clicking on it from "use modern editor". From there you can post as normal and it isn't that different from what we had previously. If you have any problems don' hesitate to ask and you can leave it in the old posting format for as long as you want or change it back to the modern format by reversing the process. Good luck!
You know what? After reading this, again, I realized that this is not what I would have written. I keep forgetting that you and S are the "in-betweens" and there are 2 and 1/2 steps up there, that I don't recognize. Thanks, again, my sweet Tedds! ♥
I don't know! I always stuck to the old layout/format, so it's automatic for me. But I guess if you start with the new system you can't go backwards. I'm sorry I can't help. :(
