worst commute ever!

It's was raining really hard this morning. Usually it takes under 5 minuted to drive to my mom's house to drop off my sister in the morning but it took like an hour this morning. There was flooding and we had to go around and then there was lots of traffic. It was just crazy. Then I wait for the path train and they're running slow but I get onto ( Read more... )

I'm assuming that was supposed to read "worst commute ever." If not, we need to work on your self-esteem.

If you decide you like silent movies, you should watch Charlie Chaplin's "The Great Dictator" (it's actually a talkie, but mostly silent) and Buster Keaton's "The Little Engine." I think that's the title. It's got something with an engine in it.

Close. The Buster Keaton movie is "The General," but it's about a Southern train driver in charge of an engine.

Deena, if you're into experimenting some artier stuff, you should definitely consider Fritz Lang's Metropolis- there's a new, expanded version out with the perfect score; and Dziga's "Man with a Movie Camera." (I believe that's what they call it in English. In Russian it's Chelovek s Kinoapparatom.)

Today was the worst commute!, I was late for class because instead of the usual half hour I was stuck in traffic for 2 hours :(
