Hey! You should get on the Annenberg website and look up contact info for an advisor-- explain to them what you're trying to do, and maybe they can help you out. I actually came into USC in the College of Letters, Arts, and Sciences-- when I decided (at orientation) that I wanted to do Comm, I filled out some paperwork (which was seriously just like, my name and SSN so they could forward my application from CAS to Annenberg), and found out by the next day that I'd been admitted to Annenberg. I don't know if it's different for journalism, but I bet an advisor could pull strings for you. If you're serious about journalism (or can at least pretend to be), I don't think they'd want to keep you out of classes until junior year. :-) Good luck! Oh, and don't lick any of your stuff. That nyquil is killer!
