well, i found her. the adoption disclosure register here in ontario contacted me yesterday morning. they are going to send me all the information they are legally able to release to me in a letter - so when i get it, i'll try and post again

I'm so sorry to hear that your birth mother is no longer living. It's great you finally know who you are. If I were you, I'd definitely try to find your father. I guess this is sort of bitter sweet for you...
