I'm currently trying Trycyclen Low. Not sure if that's how it's spelled. I was on Alesse for a few months, but it turned out to depress me, which the stupid doctor didn't want to hear, I guess, because she got snippy and told me they're all the same anyway, and then I said "well I guess I'll just take nothing then", and then she gave me three months of Trycyclen Low. This one gives me some stomach acid in the first week, but it doesn't depress me and it does help with the Godawful cramps and vomiting I'd get every other month or so. I think it's a combo pill, I know I read about it at the beginning, but I forget. Does any of that help?

Yeah, it does! It's still a combo pill- it uses both estrogen and progesterone at low doses. I was on Alesse too, which I found depressed me more than normal. I also really wasn't supposed to be on it. My doctor put me on it when I was 15 for period symptoms, and I didn't know any better. I get migranes and I have a vascular disorder, so I wasn't supposed to go on a combo pill because it puts me at risk for blood clots.
