my first feeling as i read this was disappointment. i thought that, as ministers and other godly people, denominations would be able to rise above all of the silly backstabbing and politics that plague the rest of us in our jobs--at least within their own groups.
don't forget why you're there doing what you're doing, and what your ideals are about how your leadership and your Assoc. should be behaving. you are above this and are very capable of leading by example. i'm so sorry for you that you're having this problem, and that you feel you need to doubt whether or not it's safe to talk to those who should be mentoring and advising you. it's not fair. i hope that you and bill can help your org. turn over a new leaf!
