Seriously, I received a bag of Easter candy from a member of the parish Sunday.  I thanked her and the little girl graciously for the gift, as that is what it was.  I didn't look into the bag, as it was just before worship and listened to her quickly tell me what had caramel and peanuts in it, just in case I were allergic.  That was nice.

Yes, it is a very different take of the body and blood of Christ analogy, but is it any worse than imagining that you drink wine that turns into blood and eat a piece of bread that becomes the body? I know the crucifix image may turn your stomach from the idea that you are eating a religious symbol, but effectively it is little different than wine and bread
