Stop all the clocks

Am not much of a poet... nor a poem connoisseur. So, not surprisingly, I did not read this poem -- I first heard it in a movie, Four Weddings and a Funeral, and it moved me then. It is by WH Auden, and I find it poignantly beautiful... So much so, that there are silent tears in my eyes now when I read it...

My god...what a lovely poem...havent read it myself too. Yep..a tear does trickle down.

But you must also read 'do not go gentle into that good night' by dylan thomas. Google it. Slightly similar poem, but if stop all the clocks is about loss, that one's about grit in the face of certain loss. Written for his father on his death bed. Immortal poet, immortal poem

It is beautiful... Thank you.
But grit in the face of Certain loss... is so difficult that its almost unrealistic. I realise I'm not that brave :-(
