Mmmm.... I was wondering... I've already asked this to arthicule, but I wanna be sure to have feedback. Practically, I'm searching for someone who can make a banner for me. I'm creating a new community on the characters of Hermione, Draco, Blaise, Lucius and Snape, and I was wondering if you could make ma a banner (or header) with images of them. I have a wonderful pictures of Hermione, Draco and Blaise, and some less wonderful of Lucius and Snape. Anyway, if you don't have material, I can provide you of it. Just make me know if you would be willing to create a banner for me. Thank in advance.
I don't mind making a banner/header for you =D .. Sounds like fun! Just some questions though, so that I can make something that you'll use. What sort of idea are you trying to send across? Is it like a shippy comm? Or is it more just a banner to show the characters (as there are a lot of ppl for it to be just one ship! lols). What sort of size do you want? What sort of style (i.e. poparty or darker or lighter...though I can't promise I can do it perfectly)?
I can easily find pictures of Lucius and Snape, but I don't have any of Blaise. Are there specific images you want for Hermione and Draco? If so, just send them along.
Anywho.. Thanks for asking me =D More than happy to help out!
hi! I've just seen the layout you've made for silver_vs_gold and I really liked it! :) I used to do layouts too...but i'm not so familiar with LJ's codings...would you mind giving me a pointer or two? I mean, if it's not asking too much and if it's totally fine with you...:D
LJ layouts are fairly straightforward if you cheat (like me!).. pretty much you go and get a premade layout (you can search for them on lj - one comm is actual called premade layouts or something like that.. its in my userinfo but I can't be bothered looking, so lazy). And them you replace the banner. The layout makers usualy say its ok but if they say don't, then don't use that layout. Most of th ones I've seen usually give a width, but not a height, so you can decide on that yourself. Umm.. and then you just go through the css and change the stuff you want - background colour and text colours. I haven't quite finished svg yet - I still need to do the text colours, but I got really annoyed doing the background colours that I thought I'd better give it a rest. lols. So yeah. Its really straightforward. If you have any other questions, feel free to ask. :)
oh icic...ok :) thanks!! and btw, i'm confused with the comment link on the 'test' post...its increasing in number but I can't seem to view the comments or post..:D just a though :D
and btw, have you joined dramioneicons yet? because if you haven't, you really should :D and the banner on the user info is made by me :D just thought to tell you :) hehe
I don't want to annoy you, but I was wondering if you could help me with the layout of my journal. I've got an image I would like to put as a banner. If you have time and if you want, would you be willing to give me a hand?
sure. What's the problem? I think (just from looking at my own coding) that if you just put the following coding in the "custom css" bit, the image should show up - taking out the brackets around image and putting in the appropriate values of course. But I haven't tried it (cos I usually just stick the whole layout coding in). If it doesn't work, feel free to ask more. =D
