Just for the record, I assume no one is reading this.I'm a knitter and crocheter. I also learned to spin this year. My productivity hasn't been great since I came to Ohio, but the stuff I've managed to produce is still good quality. If there is one thing I'm good at, it's learning a subject thoroughly.
I've been getting back into knitting after a bit of a hiatus that lasted a good 6-10 weeks. I finished the pair of socks I started before summer break (they needed ends sewn in and the cuff sewn up, which took all of an hour), started attending my knitting group again, and, just this week, finished a grocery bag. It's large, brown, and wonderfully cushy. My next project on the needles is a pair of wool gloves, which, if I can make them a bit
less itchy (Wool, alas. Fabric softener to the rescue!), will be great for wearing this winter.
Going back to "learning a subject thoroughly", here is a so-called master list of knitting activities I found on a
fellow blogger's site. I've organized it by category (some of which I'm convinced are purely subjective/based on how one word's an activity, but whatever). I've stricken the activities/objects that I've managed to accomplish in my 3 years as a knitter. If a term confuses you, use the mighty power of
google.
