Today I have multiple happy moments. There was the chat(s) I had with my friends Jessa and Anna on gchat. We are strange, cracky, and very loving. We celebrate what we are, what we can do, and all the possibilities of fandom.
And then, after that, my tumblr feed has been so good the past two days. Lots of laughs and smiles and delicious sexy stuff. Oh, and activism. I don't know why, but I really like LGBTQ posts. And feminist stuff. And just general "We're all okay. Different, but okay." kinds of things. The highlight of tonight was Lana Wachoski's speech at her
HRC award presentation. She's transgender, MtF, and it's so apparent how happy she is being a "she". Thankfully, I've more-or-less accepted myself as myself already. I know I am lovable, and not all that atypical, but with plenty of differences from the unattainable, illusionary "normal". I hope dearly that I can be loved and love in return, for my differences and because of theirs.
