I just wrote a long LJ post in which I claimed I liked being complimented on my intelligence more than anything, but that could be because being told I'm a good person makes me feel awkward and modest. But I do think being a good person is more important than being a smart person. But I can be both and it doesn't necessarily matter how people see me. So I didn't really know how to answer, I guess. XD Hard-working and determined aren't qualities I value highly, though I do think I am, once I get over my laziness. :P
I wrote a ton of angsty poems when I was 13-14. A couple of them were okay. I've written a handful in more recent years that I like. And I recently had to try something completely different, and that was to write a few poems that a character in my story wrote. I really like how those turned out, even though they're not as genuine.
Writing a poem written by a characters sounds like it'd be a really fun thing to do, even for people like me, who aren't very naturally "poetic" or whatever.
I guess I would LIKE for people to think that I'm funny, intelligent, good/caring, hard-working, cute, etc, but it really doesn't matter...it's not like anyone ever thinks about me anyway! So while I would like those things, I don't place that much importance on any of them or let it bother me. To me personally, I think being a "good" person is what is the most important, but I think I have a different idea of what that is than most people I come in contact with do (especially in this town!) so I don't really care to be considered a "good" person by them. It's not important to me that other people think I'm good or whatever, although if they DO, that's great!
Yeah, I have a different definition of a "good person" than most people, too. I think if you're a loyal and caring friend/girlfriend/family member and if you have a "live and let live" sort of attitude toward everybody else, you're a good person. Some people may think that's low standards. :P
But clearly you are awesomely good by my definition :D
I'm an awesomely good person!!!!!!!!!! YAYYYYY! :DDD
Seriously, though, I agree completely! You've gotta be there for your friends and family but it's really not MY place to decide who's good or bad or worthy or unworthy...these people with their high standards, pfft, do they just WANT to see other people as bad?
The best way to eat ice cream is clearly right out of the carton.
I used to write a lot and still dabble in it, but poetry is the only genre I've always felt as if I had the literary equivalent of two left feet. Still, slam poetry tempts me to try again!

On ice I like all fruit, not only strawberry
Except for maybe banana and cherry
Enough for now! Just one thing on the last question I got:
I don't care what others say, I know I'm pretty damn hot.
*cackles and runs away* :PPPPPPPP
