I vaguely remember a power outage when my family lived in Palo Alto. We had an electric stove and oven, so we had to go to Rudolpho's (no longer there) for pizza because they had a wood-fired oven, so they were the only restaurant in town that could stay open. Everyone ate by candle-light and nobody complained.
