Depressed

Jul 30, 2009 20:44

I'm not sure what it is about the past few days, but I've been depressed. I'm thinking, okay, are my meds not working? It's not PMS, Aunt Flo already showed up LOL. Maybe I've been overexercising...running a lot really hard. But I figured out that what triggered this was cleaning up the room where Mack and Jack were. Somehow I got really attached ( Read more... )

People often mistake grieving for depression. Grieving is a healthy thing, and it can take place months or years after the death that caused the grief.

I hope you feel better soon.

I think it very natural to grieve more for a beloved cat than a person you were not very close too.It the those who are daily part of your life whatever the species that mean the most to you.I think the loss of a beloved pet is often not understood by people who don't have any.

Most definitely.

But on the other hand I know there are a lot of people who really are hit hard by their pet's passing...I mean look at the dedication to their pet that pet cemetaries show...there's this big pet cemetary in California called Bubbling Waters, and I mean...this is one of the largest. It almost seems as huge as a human cemetary, and the way that some of the graves are tended to...with wreaths of flowers, actual gravestones ( not just markers or wooden ones, these are granite headstones) ...it's amazing.

*hugs* I know what you mean, I'm the same way.

I don't even want to know how I'll even be able to breathe when Snickes passes away. Luckily I've got another 20 years.

I love Snickers LOLOL...that one blue eye and one brown eye ( if I remember correctly) and his expression in the photos you posted were priceless. I always pictured him with a deep, low voice, if he could talk.

I'm going through the same things with my pets, and I am like that with people, seeming a little indifferent to family ( ... )

That is the cutest name...Lint :). * HUGS *

When I was a little kid I used to cry LOL over the goldfish that died. I have all these old pictures of pets from the past, from years and years ago, and I still think of them to this day.
