I'm hoping that someone else with a copy of Witch Hunter Robin and an embarrassingly broad knowledge of 80's music can confirm that in Ep 14 ("Loaded Guns"), the stripped-down melody that plays during the firefight is Bryan Adams' power ballad, "Heaven"... In order to answer that, i'd have to 1st remember how "Heaven" goes. And THEN i'd need my DVDs back!!

I've seen "Witch Hunter Robin" all the way thru' 3 times, i think. The 1st time, i found the ending to be "meh." But the more i watch the series, the more i think the ending actually works pretty well. It's certainly no "Gankutsuo" ending!! So it might not be an immediately satisfying ending -- it's more a thinky ending.

Yeah, yeah. We've been going a little slowly, but we're averaging two discs every three sessions, so it shouldn't be *too* much longer. Just went through all of disc 3 last night, which is where I perked up even more than I had before, because the metaplot said, "I Am Here!!! What? You thought we were just a fun 'monster-of-the-week' show? Oh, no -- I just wanted to make sure you had a handle on things before I shook them up..."

We do have the soundtrack. Maybe Chris will settle in to a chair and compare tracks to Heaven until she figures it out or becomes convinced you're crazy.
