Yes, I'm posting again in only 3 days. This time about an actual Fandom topic!

We all know that fans like to give Jensen and Jared nicknames. For instance we don't know if Jensen is ever called Jenny or Jen, but we have heard Jared call him Jense in interviews. For some reason this nickname hasn't made a big impact on FanFic.

I've never seen an interview with him being called Chris. But I just watched a movie yesterday in which he had a bit part. He was listed as Cris Kane. However, it could be because it was a gay movie and he was playing a gay guy. Maybe he didn't want his real name listed in the credits.

The movie is called "Broken Hearts Club" it was made in 2000.

Yes, people call Chris Chris. It seems to be fairly interchangeable with Christian as far as what people call him to his face, but Steve Carlson, his bandmate, definitely calls him Chris--I have witnessed this several times at the recent Kane shows I've attended in Portland. :)

Professionally, however, he goes by Christian. By that, I'm referring to the name on his music and film/TV credits and in interviews/video blogs, not necessarily what people who work with him call him.

I have heard that Jensen isn't actually called Jen (people call them both J or Jay, I think), but for fic purposes, I tend to ignore this because I LIKE him being called Jen. :P Also because it gets wtf confusing if they both have the same nickname.

I totally agree with you about Jensen and Jared both being called Jay confusing. I like Jensen being called Jen ok, I'm just liking Jense more because of the way Jared says it! That in the fact that I think to many writers rely on Jen to heavily.

Is it terrible that I love the fact Steve calls Christian Chris? I need help....

Yeah, I tend to prefer sparing use of pet names and special nicknames so it means more when they are used. When did Jared call Jensen Jense? I don't remember hearing that, but I would totally use that if it's canon. (Though other people have told me they don't like Jense because it looks like a typo to them. PSSHH, I say.)

I believe it was in an interview with just Jared. I honestly cant remember what/when. It was on Youtube (which does not narrow it down!) and I am pretty sure it wasn't at a con.

I wish I would have bookmarked it!
