Just went to check out the Massachusetts voting propositions that are on the ballot for Tuesday to see all the things that I'll be casting a vote for. Surprisingly there are only 3, and (at least to me) they are three of the easiest votes I could possibly make. The website that lists the official documentation on the three props can be found at ( Read more... )

Um ... yeah. Question #2 would decriminalize the possession of an ounce or less of pot. I think you mean "Yes on 2."

Ah... did I write it backwards? Then yeah... it'd be 'YES'. It shouldn't be a criminal offense to have an oz. of pot.

Re: #3:

It's not about owners, but greyhounds being bred specifically for racing, then being killed if they can't go into, possibly without being put up for adoption even.

As well, the racetracks are partially subsidized by the state, meaning that money won't be going to waste on these tracks anymore. Further discussion of this question and its merits, etc, in the comments to this post here: http://thetathx1138.livejournal.com/667014.html#cutid1

I'd very interested to see a study done of the proportion of dog owners who treat their dogs like shit versus the number of owners who treat their dogs passibly. Because with the amount of animal cruelty protection and watchdog (no pun intended) states there are for this kind of thing... I have a hard time believing it's that much of an issue (considering that certain people will be dicks to their pets, regardless of the laws in place ( ... )

annnnnd, I'm actually concerned about the people who would lose their jobs if greyhound racing was eliminated. I know, it sounds crazy -- people over dogs. I really worry about them getting canned.

I'm with ya ... yes to pot and taxes!!!
