My stepmother was very close with Harvey Milk. She still remembers him very fondly. The Moscone/Milk assassinations and the Jonestown Massacre are two of my most vivid childhood memories, since they were both such huge news in SF.
Frank Langella played Skeletor. I think he deserves an Oscar for that alone.
Well, I am looking forward to being in SF for the 7th time this year, for the Holidays. I was there for the funeral 8 days ago, so I'm hoping this will be happier.
If you weren't such a jet-setter, we could see each other! ;P
Well, two of those three films are missing locally. Canal Place (of course) has Milk right now, but I'm doubting we'll see those other two. That's a shame, too, because I'm a huge Benicio fan (back from Usual Suspects and I've heard some lofty reviews of Rourke's work.
Didn't know there was more Marisa nekkidness out there. Yet another reason to support high-art cinema.
I think Che is only open in NY and LA right now, and the Wrestler isn't even open here. I just pinched somebody's review copy. That being said, I didn't get to finish it. It's much less "my" kind of film than the others anyway.
