I got REALLY excited when I found out that Rogers is streaming City Council meetings live on the web.
Wow. I am ever sad.
A year ago I couldn't have cared less about municipal politics... now I'm getting all wet about variances and deputations. And I spent yesterday evening discussing garbage bins.

I tell ya, baby, local politics is where it's at. The general prioritizing of provincial over local and federal over provincial is BS - REAL issues happen at the local level and REAL change can be affected by REAL people.

This, of course, begs the question - why am I doing my degree on international political economy :-P
