IMHO, James Marsters isn't tall enough. And Scarlett Johannsen is TOO tall.

Well, honestly I can see what you mean. But the thing about Johannsen is that she is actually shorter than me, and I just couldn't find someone good for the part who was 5 foot even.

Is she really? I always think of her as being really tall.

Yeah, if I recall correctly she's 5'3", maybe 5'4".

I'd definitely go with Marsters. Blackthorne never quite worked for me--though I think his American accent sounds better in Arrow,so maybe he's improved.
I could see Johanssen. And after all, if they can make all those dwarves for the hobbit ...

Well Marster's general build is better, but I feel like he isn't tall enough, though that can be handled with camera tricks if need be.

Any opinions on the other uncertain ones?

No. But having watched Person of Interest about 2 minutes ago, I could see Jim Caviezel in a role. Not sure who I'd pick though.

I thought Sanya was younger than Harry (meaning Idris Elba is a bit too old). I always see William Fichtner as Marcone, too.

I never would have thought of Scarlett Johansson for Murphy, but I kinda like it.

I'm not sure it ever says how old Sanya is... Lemme go check.

...

Nope, doesn't say. Just that he got the sword when he was 21.

Also, he could make a decent Marcone I guess. I dunno, I guess he doesn't really fit my mental image, but I'm sure he would be able to play it well... *shrug*

By the way, I was watching last week's Elementary and Sherlock mentioned he was in contact online with someone named defenestrator. Why didn't you tell us?
