wise choices...snow brings out the worst of drivers, and the WRX is a nice a car. i wouldn't mind having one, preferably manual;even if the transmission is stif

Manual would be a must. I don't drive automatic cars =P unless it's an SUV. You think the tranny is stiff? I've driven one and I didn't mind it. The transmissions in my civics have been worse =P
