this is a Kis-My-Ft2 : Goodいくぜ!tour appreciation post

Oct 01, 2013 05:59

which is late by about a month?

anyway, tl;dr post with photos.

So, went to the last leg of their tour in Fukuoka, dated 24-25 August 2013. Was with lakuru_san and aiek08, among other fans. Met a lot of new people (especially on the second day). Marine Messe was a pretty small venue, plus we were with J-International for the ticketing, so we had pretty good seats on both days. Self is a Yokoo [and Nika/Sen + juniors] fan, so this will lean heavily towards them.

Stage Layout:

Green dot was where we were on the first day, orange dot was for the second day. First day seats were prime for close-up idol / ramp tricks / idol-fan interaction appreciation and concert streamers. Second day seats were prime for performance / skate + ramp tricks / idol-idol interaction appreciation.

Setlist [plus random comments]:

Kis-My-Calling [Fujigaya: WHAT'S UP, FUKUOKA!!! XD]
Everybody Go
Wanna Beeee!!! [last day, Miyata did the 'I Wanna Be Free' that Gaya usually does]
Ai no Beat (Dance Version) [for the chorus after the NAKED DANCE they line up in Kis-My-Ft2 fashion from front stage to the back stage, with Ki being at the back, I think]
Shake It Up [the start was them facing the right stands/arena and pointing at the audience; they did it for the other direction, too]
We Never Give Up
2nd Overture [the idols-strapped-to-moving-platforms gig with Gaya conducting/directing the motion]
Black & White [kickass : pyramid/lifting scene + costumes + dance]
xLunaSx
Forza!
Strawberry Dance
Kiss Your Mind [concert streamers for the Arena seats]

MC

Kimi to no Kiseki [it's either this was the first song post-MC, or this was the confetti song pre-MC oops]
Junior Medley [SMAP songs; Yozora no Mukou e and Shake and some other songs, I might be wrong]
My Resistance
Inori [started at center stage, a capella :3 ]
Fire Beat [I think? Not sure. Also on the last show Nika looked like he was going to attempt his standard backflip (the one w/o hands) but he didn't; kid looked so cute, he was abt to jump but didn't then sang instead]
Smile [also unsure about this]
Tell Me Why
Give Me [BEST.SOLO.EVER. Hands down. Also we got to see Yokoo the hobbit + Miyata the flower shop owner for the first show, and them again + Senga Michael Jackson + Danno who actually takes self-portraits on his phone for the last show, lol ]
Chance Chance Baybee
Catch Love [big white suits/drape-ons/coats and skates with LED lights; Gaya's wouldn't light up on the first day, he looked pissed]
Unmei Girl
Mother Moon [penlight :3 on the last show--red lights spelled Kis-My-Ft2, then white lights spelled a-ri-ga-to-u; got the boys surprised and teary-eyed. Staff sure love them A WHOLE LOT]

Eternal Mind
Jet!Set!Go! [from Mother Moon up to here we got a VERY GOOD VIEW of Masuda Ryo on the first day and Hagiya Keigo on the second day; damn those kids are growing up to be fine men]
She!Her!Her [to this day it embarrasses the hell out of me that the three of us know this song's choreography by heart]
Wakamonotachi [Kisumai flags!]
Catch & Go [which got us all surprised, we never thought they'd sing it :3 ]

Encore

SOS
Sennen no Love Song [my favorite song; got me screaming during the first day. I am such a disgrace to the fandom]
Tension
Luv Sick [Blue vs Red with Gaya as referee; Gaya: Are you Luv Sick? Me: (unashamed) YES!!! ]
Goodbye, Thank You [last show only]

**somewhere in the encore for the second day there was a MiyaTama car appearance, with Gaya pushing them and Yokoo hitching a ride. We were all fairly surprised and happy we got to see it.

MC Segment:

This segment had no promotions, for some reason. Started off with [2nd day] audience being scolded bc we weren't listening to the boys--people were busy scrambling for the concert streamers lolol. Then raffle time--prize was a Kis-My-Ft2 sticker. [1st day] Yokoo reminded the crowd to listen carefully, messed his words up, then got angry at the audience for not listening properly and was promptly scolded by the members XD typical Yokoo fashion. Boys kept on going about the audience they chose as their "unmei (destined) girl". For the 2nd day the audience who got picked were asked to go the the left and right ramps so the boys could give the stickers personally to them. One girl was a Hagiya fan, got the boys cracking up and Yokoo/Nika calling out the kid. The girl Tama picked had a fan behind her who was waving a Gaya uchiwa; Gaya scolded the fan jokingly, "don't play with other people's faces!" lol. The girl Yokoo picked was a Gaya fan and he went "maa, I'll forgive today since she's Taisuke's fan". After the prizes were given, Yokoo went down the ramp first to escort/assist the winners down the ramp and onto the audience side again, ever the gentleman. Everyone followed suit XD

Busaiku ranking. First day topic was a cool way to hug after a Fukuoka date, I think? Second day was a cool way to kiss? I forgot >_< all I remembered was that Maiko [the mannequin] was wearing the tour towel in a sexy fashion and all the boys were ogling her/being complete pervs XD also, Yokoo is an idiot who is far too amusing when he's not in variety shows. Nika was like "I wonder how Yokoo-san will do it~" and Yokoo goes "shut up!", at which point I am writhing in my seat because all their cute. Anyway, Yokoo's setting was at an apartment, he comes home from work and sees sexy Maiko and goes "wooooow~!" in his high and over-the-top acting voice that had EVERYBODY laughing. And he did this twice. After he got ranked he proceeded to bully Nika by saying "I want to see how Nika does it," lots of banter between Y2 [even if Yokoo doesn't speak much at MCs]. Tama situation was Maiko falling in love with Miyata and Tama not being able to accept this lol. It was cute to see how Tama really likes Miyata a lot and obviously had no other person he felt comfortable bullying/teasing. Tama went "but really? Miyata? You've fallen in love with him/ Are you sure?" like it was impossible for someone to like Miyacchi over him XD Nika also likes to terrorize his juniors so he doesn't rank low, and the other members kept on saying "now isn't the time to show your Danno side!" lol

2nd day MC surprise was the staff preparing a streamer at the top of the stands directly facing the stage. It had a "Congratulations on finishing your tour / you've worked hard" sort of message onto it that had the boys surprised and ecstatic. They were all "let's take a commemorative photo!" about it and actually got their personal phone out. Yokoo went backstage [to the tune of Nika saying "oh, it's Kismai's mother, Yokoo-san!"] and came back with an iPhone. Everyone went "oh, whose is that?" and it seemed like it was Kenpi's. Until Nika aaaah-ed very loudly, then claimed that the phone was actually his XD boys went to the center stage so that the streamer was behind them and took photos. Then Yokoo called out all the juniors to take a photo with them. Official cameras went up to the stage to take a third round of photos.

Personal idol-fan interactions:

I think our bunch got a lot, especially on the first day. We were pretty much starstruck and I apologize for this but I was borderline hysterical during the first show. To the best of my abilities I tried to restrain myself from waving the uchiwa above my chest, and I pretty much managed. The screaming was the thing that got out of control. but only 2-3 times, maybe. I'd been a fan since 2008 and this was my first time to see them and--the feelings overwhelmed me.

I was really expecting/looking forward to Yasui, but he wasn't there /sadfaces/. There was a fan near us who had his uchiwa on the first day, too. We got a handful of Kishi and MasuRyo during the first day for our juniors. God, MasuRyo is so energetic. Second day was a lot of Hagiya and Juri. Nnnnn Hagiya. That kid. I--he's so good-looking. Also obviously he and Juri didn't have enough time to memorize the choreography; they were in the front stage on center positions [Mitsu was between them] and the kids were laughing their asses off and looking at each other, trying to copy the choreography and spectacularly failing at it. They were both half-assedly doing it and had the moves wrong when compared to THE REST OF THE JUNIORS haha so much fail XD also, Juri looked very thin D:

Initial streamers are here:

And this is what I ended up with after we'd traded stuff:

I got Yokoo to notice me [or at least the uchiwa I was holding] for both days. At this point it's better to ask either aiek08 or lakuru_san for details because the only thing I remember was him noticing me; I don't remember what kind of fanservice he did AT ALL. Especially during the first day. I could've died and I wouldn't have had regrets because he was just--I can't even explain it, he just totally blew me away. My friends basically stared at me every time Yokoo passed our side for both shows because they were so amused with my reactions to every little thing he did; this was especially true for every moment he fanserviced with Gaya and at one point I was so tempted to blow a raspberry kiss at Gaya when he passed us by. Apparently it was fun to watch how I basically froze up and how my smile went from wide to full-on spotlight level when Yokoo noticed me at VERY CLOSE RANGE during the first day.

Nika and Kenpi got near us as well and Kenpi is the sweetest little thing, sitting down while he was on the cart so he could shake hands with the fans. Nika is a softie for kids and would not take all their offerings [uchiwas, balls, flowers, penlights] for him; also he likes to stare at fans then randomly make kissy faces at them. Spot the fan who has no dignity and who enthusiastically waves at Yokoo and Nika and Kenpi with all her might.

Ki - was very energetic and smile-y. He dances well, and is very charismatic towards the fans in general and not just his own. Before seeing them I wouldn't have thought so [because Micchan comes across as very child-like mentally on TV] but people really get drawn to the aura he has onstage. At one point during the second day he was with Hagiya and Juri on the front stage near us and I had to crane my neck for two/three songs because Yokoo was at the ramp side near us and I simply couldn't decide on whether I should be paying attention to Ki or Y D:
-
S - definitely the babyface :3 you know how his face looks all chiseled and angled on TV? In real life IT'S NOT. His features are so soft and he's SO YOUNG, he looks so soft and has smooth skin and is much like the kid I learned to love five years ago. When I said he looks handsome bluelilac20 went ahead and corrected me, "he's BEAUTIFUL, okay". That's how much of a pretty boy he is. Also from our second day seats we could hear him sans mic saying "thank you" to the fans while he skated. Plus there was the encore thing where he suddenly popped up at the bottom of our stands area and was high-fiving the first row of the audience. We were all shocked to say the least. He looks really good in whatever costume he's wearing--there's something with the way he carries himself, full of confidence. He totally rocked the Black & White costume. His dance is also something to be speechless over. Generally, Kismai dance well and in sync but you can clearly see that Kenpi is at another level when it comes to dancing. Very dynamic and enthralling, sharp moves but done with finesse.
-
M - was so WHITE. and was a very good dancer. You'd never imagine it from the way he looks on TV but Toshi nailed the choreography even when he was all sweaty, plus he still looked smoking hot while doing it. Generally failed during the Busaiku segments. He's totally the teased/bullied type, it's a well-established thing. I'm sure aiek08 is bound to provide a better commentary so check her lj to see if she's posted anything concert-related.
-
Y - um. What do I say about him? He's my number one in the group, and after years of denying I've finally come to terms with the fact that he's my number one in Johnny's. Don't think I can ever forget seeing him up-close for the first time, even if I plan on seeing him again from now on. Not as thin as he looks on camera/magazines. Stomach is really flat, though, but the arms and legs aren't stick-thin. One of the members with lesser uchiwas in the audience so he was really looking for people who had his face on their uchiwas so he could thank/fanservice them properly. I was extremely lucky the J-Int'l seats were so close to them so he could see me. Best skater, hands down. During Chance Chance Baybee, SMY2 had skates on and they were wearing a costume that when they placed side by side formed a car, and Yokoo was the right rear part of the car (Nika was in front of him). I could totally see the other three skating and the only one who would brake and control the car movement and direction was Yokoo. Also, he liked scolding and hitting Nika on the head jokingly :3 he skates in such a graceful manner, and according to aiek08 was totally belting it out with Kenpi during Catch & Go lol. Can't wait to see him again.
-
F - was the 'cool' type. Didn't fanservice much with fans, he was restricted to winks and stoic/non-showy gestures like flying kisses and cool-guy nods. His dance is--I don't know how to describe it. I'm used to the hip-thrusting/self-touching thing he does whenever he dances, but for his solo the dance was a bit off. Or maybe that's just me. But he did the Fire Beat floor hip-thrust so I was very happy with that alone.
-
T - was definitely not feeling well during the first day. He didn't interact with the fans, only sang his parts and danced and was mister grumpy in general /sadface. He got better during the second day, was waving at fans and smiling a bit but basically he fanservices like Gaya D: also, VERY WHITE. Also quiet during MC segemtns.
-
2 - kid. I--okay. First off, any claims that he is the most good-looking Kismai member irl ARE TRUE, let me tell you now. I was so happy to be able to see him in a live. Nika was very energetic and really good with the kid fans. He was looking tired on the first day, too, but he didn't let it show in his performance. Very talkative during the MC, and you'll unconsciously end up following him with your eyes. Throughout the whole concert he was just smiling and dancing and jumping around like a ball of energy, there was one instance where he and Yokoo were messing around by the left ramp and he almost tripped and fell off the stage, if it weren't for Yokoo pulling him up [he also laughed at Nika so that kind of nullifies things, though]. We went to the concert with only me liking him a lot [girlfriend claims to have started liking him a bit more than usual pre-Japan, too], but we went home with everyone noticing and liking him a lot more and for that alone I am extremely happy.

Concert shit I bought:

Didn't go all-out this year, just the basics. I have another Yokoo uchiwa without the plastic that I used for the concert, a second phone strap/charm that I'm using, and another shirt that I DIY-ed. The Bad Boys J postcards are included because I bought them at the venue and quite frankly, I spent a fortune on those >_<

Kis-My-Cap.

Concert tickets + Fanclub ID. Tickets have been laminated and are currently being used as bookmarks.

All in all, the concert was a very exciting and humbling experience. Definitely, if given the chance, I'd go see them again. It really was a great tour and I'm glad I got to be a witness of how these men perform on stage.

愛が止まらない Let's catch love!
