The names a person ascribes to their pets (and such) can tell a lot about them, I think. Me, I've had well-established pet naming conventions for decades. Even the deviations from the pattern have their own pattern, albeit a less obvious one.

Late Monday night I found a tiny black kitten outside, lost, starved, frightened, screaming for his missing ( Read more... )

Thankyou. Even our worst pounds here won't let people near the black (or white) cats during October. Dogs too I belive. Same with rabbits around Easter as well.

I think it's less they don't want the animals being sacraficed, and more they got tired of people basicly just renting cats for a Halloween party, then bringing them back with some bullshit excuse on November 1st.
But we do have some sick people in town so they don't chance it either way.

If there's a way to get him up here...we have a pretty big house. We have three cats currently (two of which are black, interestingly enough) and I've been wanting to get a kitten since Lily is getting too old to play with Lux and Sun Tzu anymore.
Want me to talk to Dy about it?

The transit's the point of contention; I'm not comfortable putting such a young'un through the stress of getting shipped and it's pricey as hell to ship mammals in general, so someone'd be looking at a long drive. To that end, up to you, man.

Sadly, I don't think either of us can really manage a drive across Oklahoma and Texas. I'm not sure how far into the state you are but we're at the top right hand corner of ours.

Austin's nearly dead centre. 6_6 No worries! I'm certain I can find him a good home locally.
