I've finally got all the pictures from Portland uploaded. So let's have a "Kelly is such a dork and these pictures prove it" marathon!
The first night we got there I had dinner with my parents and my sister and we walked around downtown. My sister went to this huge bookstore that takes up an entire city block! I bought a magnet that says, "When guys stop being assholes, I'll stop being a bitch."
The next day we went to this place called the Pittock Mansion which was just an old mansion. Not really my cup of tea, but my sister likes old places like that. I had fun taking dorky pictures.
These were taken in the hotel after one too many drinks...
That night we went to this opening entertainment thing for my dad's convention.
The next day my mom, sister and I went hiking to this place with a bunch of waterfalls. It would be nice to live somewhere that had amazing trails like these and where the weather was AMAZING like it was this day.
And I don't know what secret agent school my mom went to, but oh well! haha.
This picture was taken after I saw a SNAKE. A big snake at that! Not one of those little garden snakes that are in the yard here in Florida. But a snake that could have killed me! (well maybe) Notice the panic on my face. YEAH. haha.
That night we went to the Body Works exhibit at the OMSI. It was very interesting. It was basically an exhibit of human cadavers. They also had this room of fetuses from just a few weeks old to almost born. Despite the fact that I don't really want to have kids, it really was amazing to see the development of a baby. I can see why people call it a miracle. I still don't want kids though. haha. This picture was taken by the river outside the museum.
The next day we went on a tour of portland where we saw some geese.
Later that night we all went out to eat again and then got some frozen custard. Seemed appropriate considering it's been my summer life for 5 freaking years.
The next day my mom and I went to the zoo. But not after having coffee. In Portland, they make beautiful lattes!
Then we went to the zoo because I love animals.
After the zoo we went to the Rose test Gardens which were beautiful! I never really was a fan of flowers, but I want some guy to buy me pretty roses now....
That night was my dad's convention thing, so we got back to the room and drank and I started dancing around the room in my heels and my pajamas (chippendales shirt included!)
Yeah. I figure my legs will never look better than they do right now so I might as well document it in picture form. HA! Just kidding.
So then was the convention where I had a drink they called "Rum punch" It was basically a tequila sunrise with rum instead of tequila.
The End!
Other than that...
1) My last day at work was yesterday. I have three weeks to RELAX before school. Yeah. SCHOOL.
2) I'm going to make it through grad school even if it kills me.
3) I've figured out I can't afford to live by myself so the roommate search has begun.
4) I'm taking 3 classes: Applied Health Statistics, Epidemiology and Disease Control, and Essentials of Public Health Practice. Sounds exciting doesn't it?!
5) I'm 22 tomorrow. Scary. This is not at all what I imagined my life to be when I was a teenager and thinking about where I'd be at 22.
6) Chelsea is here! I'm so glad I get to spend my birthday with her before she moves out of the country.
7) It's sleepytime.
