I fear I have a wisdom tooth that may need extracting and I am terrified. One because I'm afraid of anesthesia and two because I have no health insurance and this could apparently cost me 1500 dollars or more according to the research I've done online ( Read more... )

are you sure that it will need to be extracted? I've had my wisdom teeth out for a few years and I don't even notice them.

Well, it hurts, which is why I think it might need to be removed. And it doesn't exactly look like it's in line with my other teeth. It just doesn't look/feel right. :-/

has it fully grown out? Mine hurt for a while and it took a year or two to fully grow out...
That would suck. Just don't go to Dr. Payne (Pain?) in Niceville. I think he's the one who messed up Tara's.

No, I don't think it's fully grown out. I thought that maybe the pain was just from it coming through. I hope that's all it is. I mean, I don't have any insurance, so it's not like it's going to cost me any less if I get it done now or wait, you know? So I might as well just wait it out and hope that it just grows all the way out and stops hurting.

And yeah, I've heard not to go to him. I hear that Dr. House in Bluewater is the best local person for the job. We'll see what happens.
