I'm in Portland. I didn't have internet for a while and didn't feel like dragging my laptop to a coffee shop or other wifi place. I got here Saturday afternoon and moved all my stuff into my little apartment. It's pretty nice. I haven't had any horribly loud neighbors yet, even though I live on a pretty major street, so it's sort of noisey outside

i know what you mean about starting expenses. starting anew sucks financially. but it's worth it. you should hang out with mike roland and his gf nicole. they are really cool and could probably show you around!

but jenn said it took her a while to feel like she lived here. like, i think, a week ago we were talking and she said "It still doesn't feel like I actually live here." So maybe it'll just take getting into a routine or something before it starts to feel like "home" (whatever that is).

And I don't think I ever want to eat bagels and peanut butter again. I've had it for 6 straight mornings and I am sick of it.
Not to mention I was eating it when the news came on about this peanut butter recall!! haha. I was like, "WHAT?!" *starts choking*
Then I realized it was just packaged stuff and not jars of real peanut butter, but man...scared me. It would figure that I would move out here with no job and no health insurance and get poisoned by a jar of peanut butter! haha
